Stuart Porter is a psychiatric nurse practitioner at Serenity Mental Health Centers. Stuart joined Serenity in February 2022. He offers his patients a communicative and inclusive approach to patient care.

After earning his professional degree at Walden University in 2021, Stuart went on to complete his certification in 2021 to become board-certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in Arizona. Previously, Stuart gained valuable clinical experience practicing psychiatry at the award-winning Banner Behavioral Health in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Stuart’s patient care approach is to treat every patient like he would a family member. He believes in investing time through dedication and commitment as he treats each patient to the best of his ability, placing their best interests above all. Every patient has the right to know the truth about their condition, therefore he takes on the responsibility to be open with patients and to include them in the decision-making process throughout their treatment.

At Serenity, Stuart will treat his patients through TMS, ketamine therapy, and medication management. He has seen the impact these treatments have on the lives of his patients, and he is excited to help his patients recover and regain that which they may see as lost.

Outside of work, Stuart loves to be in the great outdoors. He takes joy in any and all sports, especially biking, camping, kayaking, and running. He is currently training for a sprint triathlon while mapping out the different Spartan Races he plans to do this year. At home, he and his wife Jillian share four children and two beloved rescue dogs.

Stuart finds his passion in the mental health field through his ability to connect with people. He sees mental health as an underserved area that is starting to come to the forefront of issues in the world today, and he takes pride in being the person others can turn to when they have lost hope. Stuart looks forward to welcoming new patients and assisting them in their journey to take back their lives from mental illness.
